RAW HONEY
Raw honey is as close to the beehive as you can get. The honey from Southeast Louisiana has a unique flavor that you experience, not just taste. The flavor has an essence of all the flowering plants and trees that make up the swamp's diverse vegetation and changes with the seasons. There is NO large scale agriculture in our part of SELA. This means there is no pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. We lightly strain it to remove bee parts and wax, but the pollen and other beneficial vitamins and minerals remain intact. Our raw honey is never heated or treated which allows it to retain its natural nutrients and beneficial compounds. One can really see all the pollen particulate once the honey has been jarred.  Unlike processed honey, our honey goes straight from the hive to the jar.  Honey is one of the few foods on Earth that alone can sustain human life.  Honey is beneficial for coughs, colds, headaches, fatigue, insomnia, indigestion and skincare.
